Review: About a Vampire

About a Vampire About a Vampire by Lynsay Sands
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Hmm, so I love Lynsay sands. I love all the Argenaus. I've waited for Justin's book for so long now and was mildly disappointed with this one. We all remember Bricker is a funny, pain in the ass rogue hunter that gave each of the guys hell. I fell in love instantly with him when he first appeared and was anxiously waiting for him to get his story. When this book finally came, I was so excited I was dizzy, but when I started getting into the story, I couldn't believe it. First off, I didn't like Holly. I had no connection with her. Not much character development with her either that would make me like her either. We already knew about Bricker, so his character flowed so easily. Next, she was married, I mean, I was hopping Bricker would get a challenge when he finally met his Life mate because we all know he was kind of a slut, but this was ridiculous. The rule with the Immortals is that they can't interfere with a marriage if their future life mate is in a mortal marriage. I was hoping that in the end James turned out to be some sleazeball, but Lynsay didn't go that route to make me feel better. Next, why were Anders, Decker and Lucian so mean to Bricker? Yes he was a pain in the ass to them in their books, but he was NICE to their lifemates , these asshole deliberately sabotaged his relationship with Holly all for a fucking joke and payback. Childish much? I was to that point where I didn't want to finish the book just for that. THEN when she's Immortal and has to train, the twins forced them to kiss which also started a whole heap of shit. Why was everyone interfering in the relationship? I mean the only one I actauly condoned was Gia. At least she was helpful. Speaking of Gia, see that ending that Lynsay gave to her? NOPE didn't like it. I felt like I was robbed of her story and this was too neatly done just to clean up the fact that the heffer Holly DID leave her husband for another man. At the end of the day it was a fun book to read, although we didn't get to enjoy the relationship developed between the two, there were still parts that had me cracking up. Will this stop me from reading the others? No, because I'm a die hard fan and I really want to get to the twins stories. I hope they at least become life mates to sisters. This wasn't my favorite of the bunch but I hope the next one is better and she never does an already married Life mate again. Marguerite only got off easy in my book because her first lifetime was an asshole.
