This book was awesome. Hunter/Liam is EVERYTHING. This was a different take on the series, because it dealt with Emmy from Reaper's MC and her relationship with Hunter from Devil's Jack. They had this whole sexy Romeo and Juliet thing going on minus the dying at the end. I LOVED EVERTHING ABOUT HUNTER!!!!! He had the same cocky, alpha attitude like the other brothers, but he OWNED it. He wasn't and asshole. He was so sweet with Emmy. Even when he kidnapped her. Emmy was kick ass. From the other series she seemed like this meek Daddy's girl, but damn she kicked as sin this book. She didn't put up with Liam's shit and they were so good together. This didn't have much angst like the other books and whatever happened was dealt with. Want to know why? BECAUSE LIAM FUCKING TALKED TO EMMY AND THEY WORKED THROUGH SHIT!!!!! What other book does that? You alwyas get misscommunication in the other books I've read but no!!! Liam was like "Emmy shut the fuck up and let's talk it out!!! You are not going anywhere!!"OMG I love him so much!!!! BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES. I'm so hooked. I really want Picnic's story now but I had a kind of deja vu reading that prequal. Like I've read that somewhere else. Huh. ONTO THE NEXT ONE!!!!

The Resolution of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen My rating: 3 of 5 stars Well they finally got their happy ending. These two went through so much shit before they got to this point. Some points I wasn't happy with: Callie ran into Caleb at the store and then he was arrested. I fell like not much justice was given there. I wanted Caleb to explain why he did all that crap. I wanted a better confrontation where Caleb would feel ashamed or at least more emotions, but it was handled too quickly and wishy washy. Another one was the death of Kayden's father. We as the reader didn't get much closure from that. He just immediately died, there wasn't much explanation as to how he ended up like that, no explanation from the father as to why he was the way he is, no sorry's, the mother was still a complete bitch and was with the father until the end. Love, Chocolate, and Beer by Violet Duke My rating: 4 of 5 stars So, this book came up in my Amazon recommendations and saw it had a bunch of good ratings and decided to check it out. Violet Duke has found a new fan in me. I really enjoyed this book. This is what true love is all about. I connected with Luke and Dani from the prequel and just fell in love with them. Their bickering and interplay were so funny. The sexual tension was so strong with these two. Even I was feeling what Luke was feeling on those five pre-dates. The 17 Valentines Day gifts Luke did for Dani was so damn romantic, I was "awwing" through the whole thing. The things Luke did for Dani....ack. I love him so much. Anyways let's get to the nitty gritty. So Dani did something really stupid in the prequel that followed her throughout this story.
