Well guys, finally the wait is over and our sexy vampires of Mystic Falls are back. We ended last season with the crippling, emotionally damaging, checking myself into a mental hospital death of our sexiest vamp of all Damon Salvatore, oh yea and Bonnie too. Our favorite duo were stuck behind the veil and disappeared into oblivion never to be seen again. Sigh....I still choke up...*sniff* *ahem*. So we start off with a 6 months time jump with Elena explaining what happened between that time. Turns out the guys aren't as close anymore. Alaric is back and kicking and he's now a college Professor, Caroline dropped kicked school in the ass, lives on the border of Mystic Falls since magic is no longer available there and they can't go back, and is trying her hardest to break the curse so she can return home, Stefan is a mechanic....mmmm when he got up in the white tank top, yes please! Matt who can safely live in Mystic Falls without being kidnapped, maimed, killed, bitten, tortured, etc, is the resident superhero protecting the people from any baddies that eventually break through, Tyler is on the football team in college and he's basically still a dick but a human dick with a reclusive werewolf gene and then their's Jeremy who has resorted back to his season one self now that Bonnie is gone. But the biggest one was Elena, who's gone off to medical school to be a Doctor like her Daddy and guess what? She's hooked up on witch crack and Luke is her dealer. Who knew vamps could be addicts, go figure. Also Stefan has wash his hands off with those weirdos from Mystic Falls and is living his life with a new girlfriend. Good for him. So I'm keeping this short because not much really happened in this season opener, Elena went insane from taking too much crack because it helped her see Damon, so when Luke refused to be her drug pusher again, she just lost it. We got a good closure feeling with this episode, so that the fans and Elena could say goodbye to Damon until we see him again next week *grins* Alaric has been dead for so long he's off his ladies game, Caroline is not happy and peppy anymore, (going to miss that) looks like a relationship is brewing between Tyler and Luke's sister Liv. When Elena said her goodbye to Damon she went to Alaric and wants him to glamour her into forgetting about Damon. (Yep we are recycling that bullshit story-line again -__-) If you have forgotten Alaric is now an Original vampire, yay!!!! Finally at the end Damon and Bonnie are in the after life eating pancakes and playing house...woohoo. So it wasn't a great opener for me but hopefully it gets better because I really think this show has run its course three seasons back. Until next time.
