Review: Wolf Protector

Image
Wolf Protector by Milly Taiden My rating: 3 of 5 stars Eh, was a nice short thriller, the killer was predictable. I figured it out before Erica did. LOL. Umm, I liked the characters. I liked the back and forth between Erica and Trent. Erica is a human empath and Trent is a wolf shifter. It had this CSI meets paranormal feel. These two have known each other forever and we are thrown into it, so the reader has to assume the character development which I didn't like. Wasn't much of a page turner, I basically skimmed this book. Big fan of Milly, but this just wasn't my cup of tea. The sex was hot though. View all my reviews

Review: Sweet Ruin

Image
Sweet Ruin by Kresley Cole My rating: 4 of 5 stars Don't know what's with all the hate with this book, but it was great. Yes the story has kind of gone off track, but it's still there leading off with what's going on with The Ascension and other good stuff. So, Jo is awesome, I really liked her. She was tough as nails, funny, a bad ass and so hot. Even though she couldn't read, that still didn't get her down. I liked getting her and Thaddie's back story. Remember him? The guy from the island in the other book where they thought was human but that Valkyries took him in and showed him his powers bla bla bla? These two had a hard like until they met Miz .B, but after some dark circumstances Jo had to leave Thaddie behind and he grows up without her. Years later she becomes like this superhero for prostitutes and protects them. It's a whole bunch of LOL ish that goes down with her. She then stumbles upon Rune . Now Rune wa...

Review: The Game Plan

Image
The Game Plan by Kristen Callihan My rating: 4 of 5 stars Oh gosh, let's give it up to Ethan Dexter everyone. I never knew I could read and fall in love with a male virgin but good golly, I did when I read this book. Has to be my favorite of the series. Ethan is everything that I love in a guy. He's tatted up, pierced, THE BEARD and a man bun. Mmmm, I totally was dreaming about Jason Momoa while reading this story. Ethan is like the father of the group. He keeps everyone calm and collected, he's a thinker and a watcher, he's VERY loyal to his friends but what happens when the calm guy does over the edge? THIS happens and Ethan broke in a BIG way. When he shaved, I cried. Yes that was the straw that broke the camel's back, I didn't cry at the gushy stuff (although I did went aww) but when Ethan broke down and came back to Fi all bare, oh man I was all ugly crying. He was such the sweetest thing in this story you couldn't he...

Review: The Friend Zone

Image
The Friend Zone by Kristen Callihan My rating: 4 of 5 stars Really enjoyed this story. I love Gray and Ivy. Gray was so cute and adorable. He had me grinning like a loon. I liked how these two became friends which lead to a great relationship. They pissed me off when Ivy wouldn't just admit that she wants Gray, but I'm glad Fi knocked some sense into her. Still totally in love with the secondary characters of this story especially the guys on the team. I'm really turned on by Dex too. Love the beard people!!! Glad we got to see some interaction with Drew and Anna in here too. Miss those two. Kristen had me laughing like a loon in this story, then crying like an idiot near the end. But the epilogue was squee worthy and I'm glad these two got their happy ending. I would really love to have a nice novella with these guys and see what's up with their relationships. Now onto Fi and Dex's story!!! View all my reviews ...

Review: The Hook Up

Image
The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan My rating: 4 of 5 stars Aw, how great was this book? It was absolutely fantastic. Never a dull moment with this one. Ahh, Drew, swoon. He was so hot. He reminded me of Drew from Monica Murphy's Drew and Fable series. I think that's why I fell in love with this story. It had so much heart and the right amount of angst to make you want to burn your kindle, then she does a 360 and makes you want to cry and hug everyone in this book. Drew is such a beautiful man. He was so sweet and loving to Anna, even when he had his accident and weird freak out. Anna, well , I hated her from the beginning because of what she did to baby Drew, but coming towards the middle she ended up being my favorite girl. There is a scene in maybe the last chapter where she was the definition of a ride or die chick, and I instantly wanted to pat her on the back for what she did. I mean others would have left his ass. This story showed us the ...

Review: Indirect Lines

Image
Indirect Lines by Dana Marie Bell My rating: 3 of 5 stars I liked it. Wasn't as great as the others but I'm still bias because I love Tabby and Alex so much. The story was all over the place. I couldn't keep up with every damn clue and secret that was being revealed. The plot is thickening with the white shifters and we are finding out more about what's going on with that. I liked Heather a lot. She came a long way from Bunny's book. Barney was cool too. I mostly skimmed this which is sad to say, because I didn't find it that interesting. I'm still intrigued by Jamie though. I really want his and Hope's book. Anyways from what I read it had its funny bits, sexy times and the characters are likable. Just the whole plot is much to be desired. View all my reviews

Review: The Single Undead Moms Club

Image
The Single Undead Moms Club by Molly Harper My rating: 4 of 5 stars Like all Molly Harper books, the beginning took me a while to get used to. I'm not really a fan of first person POV and I tend to find them boring, so naturally I was half way through about giving up reading this book until Wade was introduced. I fell for him instantly. I loved his tattooed, red necked bad boy ass. I also liked Finn too. Although Libby seemed she was torn between the two, she made a great choice in the end. I loved little Danny and Harley. They were so cute. This book was funny, snarky and sarcastic as hell. I enjoyed seeing past characters from the other books and series and meeting the new ones. Molly's books need more sex scenes with the love interests though. One scene and kisses aren't enough for me. Other than that , it was a great, fun read. View all my reviews

Review: Billionaire Unbound ~ Chloe

Image
Billionaire Unbound ~ Chloe by J.S. Scott My rating: 3 of 5 stars I liked this story. Glad Chloe overcame the abuse and found Gabe and I'm glad he didn't give up on her. What pissed me off is, I know it's not always easy to tell an abuse victim to just leave but still, Chloe has brothers who are special ops, senator, a mad scientist and a damn special agent, she's a billionaire. Do you mean to tell me she couldn't use ANY of those means to get rid of or away from James? The man had NO power over her, she was letting him have the upper hand. Also they video, if the woman had just told her brothers what was going on but don't show them the video like what Gabe did, all of this could have been avoided. I mean, look how easy they got rid of the video and handled him. Pls Lara (Tate's wife) was ex FBI, she could have also find means to get information on where Ellie is out of James before he killed himself too. If this was a po...

Review: Billionaire Unmasked ~ Jason

Image
Billionaire Unmasked ~ Jason by J.S. Scott My rating: 3 of 5 stars Eh, wasn't as exciting as I though it would be. Had a sense of deja vu reading this because I'm pretty sure I read this book or read a similar story line. Anyways, we found out what Hope was hiding. Jason got his woman, Hope found her self and isn't afraid any more and everyone got their HEA. Now I want to see the woman that will tame Travis. I really love his character. View all my reviews

Review: One Night with a Billionaire ~ Jason

Image
One Night with a Billionaire ~ Jason by J.S. Scott My rating: 3 of 5 stars Wow so this was the prequel to Hope and Jason's story. It seems something is up with Hope and she think's she's broken. She won't tell her family or even Jason for that matter, the man that she always wanted. After a night on New Years, old fears resurfaced that put a halt to the one time she was beginning to let herself go with Jason. After sneaking out and never seeing him again, Jason found out she was getting married and implemented this crazy scheme to get her back. If you read Travis' story you can see that he gets drunk and Tate is helping him with this crazy shit. They won't tell us what's going on so we will just have to find out in their book. Review: Billionaire Undone ~ Travis

Image
Billionaire Undone ~ Travis by J.S. Scott My rating: 5 of 5 stars I'm so sorry Simon and Kara, but Travis and Ally are my favorite book now. I knew Travis' would be super hot and it was. The broody, arrogant billionaire had finally met his match in the name of Ally Caldwell. She was awesome. I think she and Maddie are my favorite of these bunch of girls. They do not let their men step out of line and know how to conquer them in the best way possible. And talk about the hot factor of this book, man, there is a scene where Ally goes into Travis' office after he told her that he was responsible for his parents death, some naughty tie and discipline was involved. My favorite part of the book. Travis was so dominate and alpha, ahh, just reading his lines set me on fire. I just love how Ms. Scott writes her books. There was no angst in here that would piss you off. Everything was accomplished pretty fast here. It was a fun read watching how the...

Review: The Billionaire's Salvation ~ Max

Image
The Billionaire's Salvation ~ Max by J.S. Scott My rating: 3 of 5 stars Eh, this wasn't as great as the other two. Max and Mia were meh. Max was heartbroken when he lost Mia in a drowning accident, or so he thought.....dun dun dunnnn. He meets this woman in the park that he thinks is Mia,she has a slight touch of amnesia, who actually turns out to be Mia. She was in hiding for two years. Faked her death. Lots of lovey dovey scenes. Seemed rushed, got slow and boring after a while, but I did like Kade. He seemed like fun and I'm intrigued by Travis. Simon and Kara got their baby so yay!!! Was an okay book, this one had in a lot of sex. I guess after two years of no sex that was bound to happened. Wasn't as funny as the others, just a couple rekindling love and getting to know each other over again. View all my reviews
