Review: The Hook Up

The Hook Up The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Aw, how great was this book? It was absolutely fantastic. Never a dull moment with this one. Ahh, Drew, swoon. He was so hot. He reminded me of Drew from Monica Murphy's Drew and Fable series. I think that's why I fell in love with this story. It had so much heart and the right amount of angst to make you want to burn your kindle, then she does a 360 and makes you want to cry and hug everyone in this book. Drew is such a beautiful man. He was so sweet and loving to Anna, even when he had his accident and weird freak out. Anna, well , I hated her from the beginning because of what she did to baby Drew, but coming towards the middle she ended up being my favorite girl. There is a scene in maybe the last chapter where she was the definition of a ride or die chick, and I instantly wanted to pat her on the back for what she did. I mean others would have left his ass. This story showed us the ups and downs of too young relationship with it being borderline sweet and cuddly feeling. They both complimented each other. This story was also very funny. I love the back and forth between these two characters. And holy crap the love scenes were so hot. Even hotter for a NA genre. I also loved the secondary characters. Looking at you George and Gray. Not a fan of sports books, but this one didn't dwell too much on the concept of sports to make it too boring.
