Don't know what's with all the hate with this book, but it was great. Yes the story has kind of gone off track, but it's still there leading off with what's going on with The Ascension and other good stuff. So, Jo is awesome, I really liked her. She was tough as nails, funny, a bad ass and so hot. Even though she couldn't read, that still didn't get her down. I liked getting her and Thaddie's back story. Remember him? The guy from the island in the other book where they thought was human but that Valkyries took him in and showed him his powers bla bla bla? These two had a hard like until they met Miz .B, but after some dark circumstances Jo had to leave Thaddie behind and he grows up without her. Years later she becomes like this superhero for prostitutes and protects them. It's a whole bunch of LOL ish that goes down with her. She then stumbles upon Rune . Now Rune was very complex to me. I love and hated the fucker. Jo is his mate but the bastard still wanted to fuck other women, WHICH HE DID, while they were together, but when his seal finally got busted open by Jo, he realized that he needs to put his whoring ways to rest. Lots of other good stuff happened, secret are revealed but I don't want to get into it and spoil it. It was a fun adventure to read. But I really want this to end so we can get to the point of the matter with Nix. We are getting nothing, just crazy ass Nix disappearing all the damn time. I was with Kresley from since 2006 with this series, but honestly, I'm still lost as to what's going on!!! I feel like Nix is going to end up with Orion? Maybe? I dunno at this point.

The Resolution of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen My rating: 3 of 5 stars Well they finally got their happy ending. These two went through so much shit before they got to this point. Some points I wasn't happy with: Callie ran into Caleb at the store and then he was arrested. I fell like not much justice was given there. I wanted Caleb to explain why he did all that crap. I wanted a better confrontation where Caleb would feel ashamed or at least more emotions, but it was handled too quickly and wishy washy. Another one was the death of Kayden's father. We as the reader didn't get much closure from that. He just immediately died, there wasn't much explanation as to how he ended up like that, no explanation from the father as to why he was the way he is, no sorry's, the mother was still a complete bitch and was with the father until the end. Love, Chocolate, and Beer by Violet Duke My rating: 4 of 5 stars So, this book came up in my Amazon recommendations and saw it had a bunch of good ratings and decided to check it out. Violet Duke has found a new fan in me. I really enjoyed this book. This is what true love is all about. I connected with Luke and Dani from the prequel and just fell in love with them. Their bickering and interplay were so funny. The sexual tension was so strong with these two. Even I was feeling what Luke was feeling on those five pre-dates. The 17 Valentines Day gifts Luke did for Dani was so damn romantic, I was "awwing" through the whole thing. The things Luke did for Dani....ack. I love him so much. Anyways let's get to the nitty gritty. So Dani did something really stupid in the prequel that followed her throughout this story.
