Review: Stepbrother Hero: A Forbidden Military Romance

Image
Stepbrother Hero: A Forbidden Military Romance by Krista Lakes My rating: 3 of 5 stars Well it was better than the first one, because this heroine kind of had a back bone than the first one, but it was still a dumb story. The whole Rachel thing was ridiculous and uncalled for. Ian was a giant pussy and Hayley needed to take a chill pill for her obsession with her step brother. These guys didn't grow up together, were only step siblings for three years, so I didn't know the issue these guys had of being together. Also Hayley using a baby to keep Ian at one point, girl that in entrapment. The same shit Rachel was doing in the first place. Gosh. Hayley's father had NO back bone when it came to Ian's mother and that also turned out to be a whole other shit mess. All in all I struggled through it and finished it, but it could have been a better story. I loved the sex scenes though, very well done and hot. View all my reviews ...

Review: Stepbrother's Gift

Image
Stepbrother's Gift by Krista Lakes My rating: 3 of 5 stars I liked but still hated this hated this book. What I liked : The story, the whole forbidden love thing and it was funny. The love scenes were done really well too. What I hate? Everything else. Allie was a fucking doormat and James was an asshole. This girl let her brother walk all over her, so a bunch of shit to her, sleep with her best friend, jerked off to her roommate and she was still like...."omg but I love him. I want his baby" Girl no. THEN the whole rubbing her belly because she was pregnant with his baby shit. That was so annoying every bloody time she repeated it. Like girl yes we get it, you are obsessed with your brother and having his damn demon spawn. Then to top it all off they came out as a couple, he's like I love you even though I'm an asshole and they live happily ever after. I hate when writers have weak ass heroines. They just turn me off from the b...

Review: Time Without End

Image
Time Without End by Linda Lael Miller My rating: 4 of 5 stars I loved this and I loved Valerian from Mauve's book. This one made me a crier too. I have all these paper back original copies in a shelf. Man the memories I had with this series. Aiden and Valerian became favourite names and vampires for me. View all my reviews

Review: For All Eternity

Image
For All Eternity by Linda Lael Miller My rating: 4 of 5 stars This was Mauve story and the second vampire book I have ever read when I was a teen that paved my way. I loved it. This was so sad and heartbreaking. View all my reviews

Review: Forever and the Night

Image
Forever and the Night by Linda Lael Miller My rating: 4 of 5 stars The very first book I ever read as a teen that got me into vampires. I loved Aiden and his sister Mauve. I can't remember much from this because it has been 16 years since I read this book, but I know the story stuck with me and made me reread it a bunch of times. View all my reviews

Review: The Resolution of Callie & Kayden

Image
The Resolution of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen My rating: 3 of 5 stars Well they finally got their happy ending. These two went through so much shit before they got to this point. Some points I wasn't happy with: Callie ran into Caleb at the store and then he was arrested. I fell like not much justice was given there. I wanted Caleb to explain why he did all that crap. I wanted a better confrontation where Caleb would feel ashamed or at least more emotions, but it was handled too quickly and wishy washy. Another one was the death of Kayden's father. We as the reader didn't get much closure from that. He just immediately died, there wasn't much explanation as to how he ended up like that, no explanation from the father as to why he was the way he is, no sorry's, the mother was still a complete bitch and was with the father until the end. His death was such a cowards way out. I expected him to get haul off to jail. This b...

Review: The Probability of Violet & Luke

Image
The Probability of Violet & Luke by Jessica Sorensen My rating: 3 of 5 stars This was a filler book. It was lightly better than the other one, I still cannot stand Violet, but man she can't catch a break. The secrets that were revealed about Preston, I saw coming which actually made me laugh at her. I know she doesn't deserve this, but because I can't stand her character, I YOUR FACE BITCH! That's what you get for running from Luke. We are getting deeper into the case of who was the other person that was with Luke's Mom. I feel like Caleb is going to be connected in this somehow. I hope every bad guy gets what's coming to them in here. But for the love of God, I hope Violet gets more likeable in the finale book. Luke is still a broken baby and I will always love him. Flaws and all because he was just born into this terrible situation with this awful woman he calls a mother. But seriously, from the beginning he should have ...

Review: The Redemption of Callie & Kayden

Image
The Redemption of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen My rating: 3 of 5 stars I was very pissed off with this book. The characters just went about everything so wrong to the point they just dragged out the story. I think the only one who had their head on was Seth. The story dragged, it became frustrating and the parents were useless. It had its heartbreaking moments between Callie and Kayden, especially when they finally decided to be free. I'm intrigued by Luke. I really want to know what he's hiding. Also along the series I hope Caleb and Kayden's parents get what's coming to them. I wouldn't say this was a bad story, but the first book was better. View all my reviews

Review: The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden

Image
The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen My rating: 4 of 5 stars Holy shit I devoured this book. I enjoyed everything about it. I love forbidden love. But shit this was dark. I'm only pissed off because both of them didn't talk to ANYONE! This is basically another version of Ella and Micha but darker. That ending had me speechless and on the edge of my seat. I liked Callie, but she could have handled all this better by immediately telling someone. But I'm glad Kayden finally saved her at the end. Same goes for Kayden. If you like angsty, young adult fiction with sexual tension, heart breaking pasts and damaged teenagers, this is the book for you. The ending of this book is EXPLOSIVE. It drags a lot but it's worth it just for the final 5 pages. View all my reviews

Review: Reap

Image
Reap by Tillie Cole My rating: 4 of 5 stars This story was so heartbreaking. Zaal, was another Luka for me and I love them both. The shit these two went through as kids. And baby Zaal had it the worst. The drug he was given completely wiped him and turned him into a mindless slave. Honoring Anri's wishes, Luka set out and found him and rescued him. While coming off the drugs that were given to him, Zaal found his salvation in the form of Talia. Luka's sister. But only one thing stood in their way, Zaal's and Talia's families are enemies. It all started with the death of Tal's grandfather which led to Zaal watching the massacre of his family. Oh wow, reading about that part was rough. I had to flip the page because they were kids involved and it beame too graphic. I just started crying. Tillie knows how to write with such heartache that it brings you to tears. Talia was a better heroine than Kisa. I still hate her. The reader got t...

Review: Raze

Image
Raze by Tillie Cole My rating: 5 of 5 stars This wasn't as dark as everyone said it would be. Maybe I was ruined by all the other dark romances I have been reading lately that everything in here didn't phase me. I'll admit, this is definitely not a usual Tillie Cole read. Even her motorcycle stories seemed tame compare to this. Anyways, I immediately fell in love with 818 aka Raze aka Luka. I connected with him from the beginning and was rooting for him. Kisa, meh I hated this bitch. She was such a doormat. She put up with that abusive asshole Alik all because she thought she was the one who would keep him sane. Bitch, THE MAN WAS A SERIAL KILLER. The fucker killed everyone, tortured small animals, enjoys death and rapes you but no, just because she lost her soul mate or so she thought, she settled with that son of a bitch. Luka was a beautiful tortured soul. He was taken at a young age, raped and raised in an underground prison where the...

Review: The Undoing

Image
The Undoing by Shelly Laurenston My rating: 5 of 5 stars So, I lost sleep over this book because it was that good. Nobody gets my favourite recluse of a writer's humor, but I do. I mean no one does romance like Shelly. She doesn't do the whole lovey dovey shit like other romances. I mean, yea you get the little sex scenes and romance, but with the story being so good and funny, you didn't really miss it. Well we got all the different plot stories with all the characters of this story. I liked Jace's cult story with her ex-husband. He was such an idiot, geez and the Protectors. Then we got the one with that idiot Goddess which is the original plot line. But for fuck's sake Shelly, give us names we can pronounce. Anyway, the side characters were hilarious. Bear who I believe is a freaking descendent of Bo Novak from the shifter series, the other Protectors, Erin and omg Annalissa. I need both of their books. Even Lev, Brodie and Sal...

Review: Ryder

Image
Ryder by L.A. Casey My rating: 5 of 5 stars Oh this book broke my heart. It made me cry, laugh, angry, excited.....SO many other adjectives but I can't get into them all. This was my favorite from all the other brothers. I loved Ryder from the beginning because he was the more quiet and sensitive brother. Well next to Kane of course. He was always in the background guiding his brothers and loving Branna until recently. So remember from Aideen's Ryder and Branna have been having some problems and we thought this would have been the end? Well it was. Branna couldn't take it anymore. She was tired of the lies, tired of the secrets but still loved Ryder. She just thought she wasn't IN love with him anymore. So Ryder has been doing some sneaky shit. His brothers know but the love of his life doesn't. He figured when he finished his sneaky shit, he would then fix things with Branna and it would all go back to normal. But things tend to ...

Review: There is No Greater Love Than Creation

Image
There is No Greater Love Than Creation by Helena Hunting My rating: 5 of 5 stars Aww, this was a cute short story with the epilogue of Tenley and Hayden. So glad these two found their happy ending. I'm also assuming they married. Welcome to the world little Ellie. Your parents will have a field day explaining how they met to you. View all my reviews

Review: Inked Armour

Image
Inked Armour by Helena Hunting My rating: 5 of 5 stars This story was simply beautiful. This one was mostly focus on Hayden himself finally letting go of all the doubts and blames he put on himself. It was coming to terms with himself and also solving the murder of his parents, which by the way was one hell of a plot twist. *smile* This was also about Tenley letting go of her guilt and forgiving herself and coming to terms with what bad things that have ever happened between these two. It was about them both letting go and finding love with each other. I loved everyone in this story. It was funny and sexy. It made me laugh, cry, angry, but in the end this will be a book that will stick with you for a long time. The epic love story of these two was so tremulous and it almost gave you some doubts that they might not make it, but in the end they did. This isn't the end for them, it's only the beginning. I'm glad all the bad guys of this stor...
