Review: Reap

Reap Reap by Tillie Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story was so heartbreaking. Zaal, was another Luka for me and I love them both. The shit these two went through as kids. And baby Zaal had it the worst. The drug he was given completely wiped him and turned him into a mindless slave. Honoring Anri's wishes, Luka set out and found him and rescued him. While coming off the drugs that were given to him, Zaal found his salvation in the form of Talia. Luka's sister. But only one thing stood in their way, Zaal's and Talia's families are enemies. It all started with the death of Tal's grandfather which led to Zaal watching the massacre of his family. Oh wow, reading about that part was rough. I had to flip the page because they were kids involved and it beame too graphic. I just started crying. Tillie knows how to write with such heartache that it brings you to tears. Talia was a better heroine than Kisa. I still hate her. The reader got to see Zaal relearning life, gaining his memory and falling in love. It was both heartbreaking and beautiful. Beautiful Luka finally became free to be the Parthan and still be himself as Raze. His idiot wife finally accepted that he wasn't the same Luka from when they were kids. Still love my sweet, baby Luka. Now it seems like Zaal might not be the only surviving sibling. Edge of your seat drama is coming.
