Review: The Resolution of Callie & Kayden
The Resolution of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Well they finally got their happy ending. These two went through so much shit before they got to this point. Some points I wasn't happy with: Callie ran into Caleb at the store and then he was arrested. I fell like not much justice was given there. I wanted Caleb to explain why he did all that crap. I wanted a better confrontation where Caleb would feel ashamed or at least more emotions, but it was handled too quickly and wishy washy. Another one was the death of Kayden's father. We as the reader didn't get much closure from that. He just immediately died, there wasn't much explanation as to how he ended up like that, no explanation from the father as to why he was the way he is, no sorry's, the mother was still a complete bitch and was with the father until the end. His death was such a cowards way out. I expected him to get haul off to jail. This book was also a recap of what happened in the other two. For those who waited a long time in between readings, this would have been a good thing, but for readers who are reading one after the next, it was just repetitive. It was also so mushy and sweet. I'm glad for them but ugh come on. In the end this story felt rushed and the only saving grace was the epilogue. Their story has ended and I'm happy for them.
