OUAT "A Tale of Two Sisters"
First just let me get the fan girl out of me and squeal *eeekkk it's back, it's back, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh* Well with that said, our season opener started off with a frosty bang. We remember from last season how Emma and Hook went back in time and fudged it up, then tried to fix it for her parents, but to only fudge it up for Regina? Well I forgot that happened and was so excited to see Emma and the gang back, but when it picked up from at the party and Regina runs outside devastated, it reminded me of how I disliked Emma at the end of Season 3. Argh, she went back and brought back Maid Marian and ruined the awesomeness that is Robin & Regina. I mean, Robin still has feelings for Regina, but his honor and duty lies with his wife. (dammit Emma) On the bright side I get back my evil regal. I was missing the Evil Queen something terribly and I'm glad she's back to cause havoc again even though it came from a price of her happiness. Anyways, Snow and Charming still have their little son, Rumple is still an awesome liar and still keeping naive Belle in the dark making her believe she still has the real dagger, plus we got a GREAT Beauty & The Beast reference in there...eeekkk and all this is basically some revenge plot for Rumple over Neal's death, Hook is like a dog with an Emma bone trying to get her attention to continue their romantic tendencies, but she's just playing the c*k-tease and telling him to wait all the damn time. Come on Emma, cut the poor sexy pirate some slack and jump all over that!
So the moment everyone has been waiting for, Frozen has finally invaded Storybrooke. We got introduced to some of the movie's favorite characters. I liked real life Elsa, she kind of what I pictured a life like Elsa would be. Anna.......eh, she was cute and all but I found her annoying. I guess it's the fact that I LOVE Kristen Bell playing as Anna and she gave that character more life and personality. This Anna was just....there, but still, great job to the actress that played her. Other fan favorites we got to see were Swven, the lovable reindeer and Olaf, the adorable ice seller. Here is where I got kind of confused. Is this picking up where Anna is suppose to be marrying Hans? Although the writers of this show tend to put their own twists on the fairy tales. For all we know Hans can turn out to be some really nice guy instead of the douche bag he was in the movie.
So here's the skinny, we saw the parents die at sea but before that the mother put a letter into a bottle hoping that it's found by the girls. It holds some sort of truth that the girls need to know, but more on that later in the season. Elsa found a diary which reads that the parents were afraid of her and this got Anna mad. She set out on a journey to find the truth behind the diary. We even got to see the Rock People...yay. So Anna goes missing on her way to the Enchanted Forest, more than likely got wrapped up in one of those many, many spells that were cast in that place and Elsa decides to go search for her. After the spell that the Wicked Witch cast went bloop, it somehow brought Elsa to present day Storybrooke where she's basically freezing everything in her path.
Two of the dwarves stumbled upon her and all hell broke loose. *Sidenote: Is Grumpy that angry on the road that he had to let Sleepy of all dwarves drive?* Elsa got scared because she's seeing all these new things and releases the Snow Monster. (I mean come on, if we can get that I BETTER see Olaf) So the gang is trying to defeat this monster and it never occurred to any of them, that it's made of freaking ice and all they had to do was melt it, but clearly Regina is the smartest of the bunch so she saved them. But still pissed off at everyone and left. Emma tries talking to her but Regina doesn't want to hear any of it. She digs up Sydney from the dungeon and plots a scheme to get rid of Marian. Her plan? Wait for it I'll get back to that later.
So anyways Elsa is running around crazy, ducking behind doors and buildings until she sees this news clipping of Gold and Belle's wedding. She sees the snowflake necklace that used to be around Anna's neck and decides to break into Gold's pawn shop and steal it back. This gets her thinking that Anna is trapped in Storybrooke some how so what the hell, let's freeze the whole town until Anna shows up.
So back to Regina, she's so drunk on sorrow and revenge that her big plan? Is to destroy whoever wrote the fairy-tale book. Yes she's going to go back and find whoever wrote Henry's book and demand they give the villains a happy ending. -__- I mean, SERIOUSLY?? Maybe we get some Grimm Brothers cameos or something. DUN DUN DUNNN!!! So that's it guys. The promo for the season looks pretty great and we should be in for a perfect frosty ride. Until next time.
