Captain America :The Winter Soldier


I just want to say...MMMMMMM Chris Evans. That man is prime juicy male.  Since I got that out of my system, this was a great comeback after that atrocity that was Thor: Dark Worlds. The action scenes were on point and had a great story-line. Betrayal, lies adrenaline were high in this movie. Friends turning on friends, what more can you ask? The death of Nick Fury was a little heartbreaking although us guys who watch S.H.I.E.l.D know better. Plus we got to see the triumphant return here too. We got a great assemble of a cast, Robert Redford anyone? And the deviously attractive Emily VanCamp.  We got an AI super computer with the brain of a Nazi...ahem...Swiss scientist, Introduction of Hydra and ZOLA secrets, a shit load of explosions and Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier kicking some epic ass.  We got to see Falcon (cool ass suit). While watching this, I couldn't help but think, "Hey why not bring loud mouth Iron man in and I'm pretty sure he would have taken out all the bad guys in one."  Black Widow showing us girls that you don't have to be a big burly man to drop men on their asses. Who could also forget the great Coblie Smulders as Agent Hill. I see you Robyn!!!This was one of the best marvel sequels out there. If you what action, explosions, little humor and sexy guys in armor, then this is the movie for you. I would recommend this to anyone who is an adrenaline junkie and it also builds the arc for the new Agent Carter series to him ABC soon. 10/10

The Resolution of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen My rating: 3 of 5 stars Well they finally got their happy ending. These two went through so much shit before they got to this point. Some points I wasn't happy with: Callie ran into Caleb at the store and then he was arrested. I fell like not much justice was given there. I wanted Caleb to explain why he did all that crap. I wanted a better confrontation where Caleb would feel ashamed or at least more emotions, but it was handled too quickly and wishy washy. Another one was the death of Kayden's father. We as the reader didn't get much closure from that. He just immediately died, there wasn't much explanation as to how he ended up like that, no explanation from the father as to why he was the way he is, no sorry's, the mother was still a complete bitch and was with the father until the end. Love, Chocolate, and Beer by Violet Duke My rating: 4 of 5 stars So, this book came up in my Amazon recommendations and saw it had a bunch of good ratings and decided to check it out. Violet Duke has found a new fan in me. I really enjoyed this book. This is what true love is all about. I connected with Luke and Dani from the prequel and just fell in love with them. Their bickering and interplay were so funny. The sexual tension was so strong with these two. Even I was feeling what Luke was feeling on those five pre-dates. The 17 Valentines Day gifts Luke did for Dani was so damn romantic, I was "awwing" through the whole thing. The things Luke did for Dani....ack. I love him so much. Anyways let's get to the nitty gritty. So Dani did something really stupid in the prequel that followed her throughout this story.
