MTV Video Music Awards 2014

Ah, The VMAs, the one night where music stars get together and play nice to find out who is better that who. First out the fashion. -__- You have millions or dollars, why you would you cut off the legs of your blue onsie and wear it to the award show showing you flat ass and calling it fashion? Then there was Amber Rose, girl stop. You are a mother and too old for that shit. JLo looked flawless as always and my baby Katy Perry, but she could have left the riff raff at home. Miley looked, eh well better than last year, but she could have gone with a jacket to wear with the tube top. Kim Kardashian, again, you are a MOTHER!!! Too old for that mess. Next, performances. We began with performances from Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Jessie J. Ari started out with her song Break Free. Still rocking those Problem boots I see. I'm sorry but I can't take this girl as a "sexy" singer. She is just too cute and innocent looking. It's like watching your 11 year old sister play dress and try to be sexy for your Dad. Yep, awkward and uncomfortable. I know she's 21 but bleh. It took me a while too to get the sexy vibe from Selena Gomez, but she grew into her look. Maybe if I give Ariana a few more years and she finally filled out. Nicki's performance was alright I guess, if you are pubescent male teen or a dirty old man about to bus out the bottle of Jergens. All you see is ass, much like her "Anaconda" music video. Then we had Jessie J performing Bang Bang with the girls, but wait, *in my Kevin Hart voice* She wasn't readdddyyyyyy!!!! Nicki didn't had time to finish getting dress, but my girl came out like a G on her cue and performed anyways. Kudos to her for not missing a beat though. Sam Smith's performance of Stay With Me was simply beautiful and he was robbed for not winning Artist to Watch. Like who the hell is Fifth Harmony. Anyways, I think Iggy Azalea slayed it with her performance of Black Widow. It was exciting and she killed those raps. The ballerinas were pretty awesome too and look Rihanna....er...Rita Ora did a great job too! Then there was Taylor Swift trying to be cute and funny with her song Shake It Off. I don't get the hoopla about this girl. With most of her songs I can only play them once before they become annoying to me. I'm not going to front, Shake It Off is very catchy but that's going to become tired in about a week to me. Usher and Nicki. Now I like this song She Wants To Give It To You, great song but the Nicki rap is pointless. The performance was also blah. The biggest moment I watched this show was to see the Queen of all Queens Beyonce perform. Now she had to do it BIG. She performed EVERY TRACK on her album, she showed those fake butt girls how a natural booty is suppose to be shaken, but alas her performance didn't blow me, it was great but not jump out of your seat awesome.  But it WAS the best thing at this show!!! And guess what, Blue Ivy came up with Daddy and gave Mama her Vanguard Award for being the best artist of all time. It was the cutest thing. So that was basically it. This award usually gives us a lot of "oh shit" moments but this year it wasn't up to par. I guess it couldn't upstage last year's one with Miley twerking on Robin.
