Dark Skye by Kresley Cole


Ohhhh, Ms Cole came back HARD with this book. This one has been a long time coming and it was ON! This is the 15th book of the series and it's Thronos and Lanthe story. We met these two a number of times in  the other books when they had the Lore Games and also with Sabine and Rydstrom where these two basically hated each other with a passion. A misunderstanding that happened when these two were young besties caused them to hate each other. Man the amount of bickering these two did in this book was at first SO annoying. I mean, this book could have ended at chapter 30 if these two had just sat and talked their shit out, but then again we would miss the epic adventure these two went on. I loved all the different places they went and people they met. (Looking at you Sea-God, nom nom nommmmm) I loved the love Thronos had for Lanthe and it was refreshing how the male was the virgin in the story for once, and MAN did Talos had a hell of a lot pent up sexual frustration to the point it was hilarious. Finally at the end there with what Morgana did to Talos had me bawling my eyes out. So much emotion in those final chapters. This book also tied up some of the other books in this series including giving us a little of the Dacians and crazy Lothire. I have to say I was surprised with this book, after Mccrieve I was about to give up but I'm glad I didn't. This book has in action, adventure, the best humor from Nucking Futs Nix (I miss my Valkyries) and wooohooo mama is vying for Goddess hood bitches!!!! Getting off track here, ah yes and the sexiest love scenes ever. I think I have a wing fetish now :D Now I don't know how long I have to wait for the next book. But give me Munro's book dammit!!!!! So READ THIS!!! READ IT NOW!!! Because in the words of Lanthe "Our story is EPIC!"

The Resolution of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen My rating: 3 of 5 stars Well they finally got their happy ending. These two went through so much shit before they got to this point. Some points I wasn't happy with: Callie ran into Caleb at the store and then he was arrested. I fell like not much justice was given there. I wanted Caleb to explain why he did all that crap. I wanted a better confrontation where Caleb would feel ashamed or at least more emotions, but it was handled too quickly and wishy washy. Another one was the death of Kayden's father. We as the reader didn't get much closure from that. He just immediately died, there wasn't much explanation as to how he ended up like that, no explanation from the father as to why he was the way he is, no sorry's, the mother was still a complete bitch and was with the father until the end. Love, Chocolate, and Beer by Violet Duke My rating: 4 of 5 stars So, this book came up in my Amazon recommendations and saw it had a bunch of good ratings and decided to check it out. Violet Duke has found a new fan in me. I really enjoyed this book. This is what true love is all about. I connected with Luke and Dani from the prequel and just fell in love with them. Their bickering and interplay were so funny. The sexual tension was so strong with these two. Even I was feeling what Luke was feeling on those five pre-dates. The 17 Valentines Day gifts Luke did for Dani was so damn romantic, I was "awwing" through the whole thing. The things Luke did for Dani....ack. I love him so much. Anyways let's get to the nitty gritty. So Dani did something really stupid in the prequel that followed her throughout this story.
